About us
Nico and Tullia met in Mysore in 2013 and travel back to practice with the Jois family regularly. We love the practice and sharing the Ashtanga lineage, and we keep returning to the question of how yoga can be part of life alongside family, community, work and everyday commitments.
To continue our own practice we are opening our family room for a small number of yogis to come and do their morning practice together in Östra Torn, Lund. We have space for eleven mats plus a small changing room for tea and reading (we have collected quite a few yoga books over the years!).

About you
“Anyone can practice. Young one can practice. Old one can practice. Very old one can practice. One who is sick, they can practice. One who doesn’t have strength can practice. Except lazy people; lazy people can’t practice Ashtanga yoga.” ~ K. Pattabhi Jois.
This space is for people who already have an Ashtanga self‑practice and enjoy the rhythm of early mornings. It’s for those who value tradition, simplicity, and consistency, and who would appreciate a small, local community.

Practical details
The plan is to begin in the autumn, and let the space evolve based on who comes and what works in everyday life, starting with self-practice 5am – 7am Monday to Friday (open moon-days). We love teaching but don’t want to run a studio so there will be no instagram. We will hold space, practice alongside everyone and potentially observe and give adjustments once per week.
If this speaks to you, we’d be happy to hear what you think. We answer emails on Tuesday afternoons at ashtangafolk@gmail.com.
